The Fiat 500 CULT (pictured) arrives to top the 500 range
The revived Fiat 500 has been with us for some time as Fiat’s take on the MINI retro revival, and it’s still appealing and relevant. It’s already spawned a convertible 500, Abarth 500, 500L and the soon to arrive 500X (which will also spawn the new Jeep Renegade) and now it’s time for a bit of a minor upgrade and makeover for 2014. Headlining the new offerings for the 500 for 2014 is the arrival of the Fiat 500 CULT to top the range, taking the Lounge Spec and adding in stuff like new 16″ alloys, fixed glass sunroof, Blue&Me, Chrome detailing, rear parking sensors and leather interior.
The Volvo C30 EV won't be going in to production
Volvo has decided it will not put the C30 electric Car in to production and has called on the EU to address CO2 and EV targets. Just as many other car makers are doing, Volvo has had a small fleet of electric test cars plodding round the roads to see what they’re capable of in the real world, in Volvo’s case a fleet of electric C30s. But Volvo has decided that a production version of the C30 EV is a futile project and has revealed they will not be making a production version.
John Buckingham's Lagonda project was one of several Aston Martin projects featured this year. This is a front-engined limousine in the style of the 1976 Bill Towns Lagonda with a compact cabin, shallow DLO and a very long, high tail combined with a much more 'delicate' aesthetic than existing full-size limousines. Unusual features include a shark nosed form with concave sculpted fenders inspired by the DB3R and a full-width light bar visor contained in an inverted Aston grille.
